Welcome to Judges in the Classroom
Are you a teacher in California teaching in a public school K-12? Request a visit from a judge in your community
for a lesson on civics!
If you are a judge and would like to visit a classroom in-person or remotely, register here.
How to Request a Visit from a Judicial Officer:
Review Lesson options. If one doesn't match the needs of your classroom, describe your needs on the request form.
Submit the request with as much advanced notice as possible. At least 3-weeks in advance is preferred.
A coordinator will contact you once a volunteer has confirmed availability. Teachers will have the opportunity to discuss in advance the learning needs of the classroom.
Note for virtual visits: conduct your pre-visit planning meeting on the platform to be used for virtual visits (test connection, audio, etc.)The visit happens and feedback forms are collected!
